Settlements Administrator

Our client is a well-established boutique investment house who specialise in fixed interest in the Australian market. They assists wholesale and retail investors gain easy access to a wide range of Australian term deposits, government bonds, bank bills, floating rate notes and other interest securities through their extensive service offering.

With exceptional growth conditions, they are currently looking for a Settlements Administrator to join their team in Brisbane.

Your Role


  • General reception/administration duties;
  • Screening of incoming calls;
  • Postage and couriers;
  • Binding, photocopying and scanning of documents; and
  • Banking.


  • Daily trust account reconciliations and coupon payments;
  • Daily interest rate entry and rate sheet generation;
  • Liaising with and providing reports to internal and external business clients;
  • Ensuring accurate and timely processing and settlement of transactions;
  • Responding to settlement queries; and
  • Maintaining the transaction database.

About You

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Financial Services or Banking role;
  • Intermediate MS Office – Excel and Word;
  • Accurate Data Entry/typing skills (minimum 55wpm in alphanumeric and 40wpm in numeric);
  • Have a proven strength in attention to detail;
  • Have exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a high paced environment;
  • Capacity to exercise judgement and maintain confidentiality;
  • Well-developed problem-solving and analytical capabilities; and
  • Be able to prioritise daily tasks in order to meet various deadlines.

Highly Advantageous

  • Transaction experience of NCDs, Bonds, FRNs and other fixed interest securities;
  • Understanding of CHESS, Austraclear or Euroclear platforms.
