Position Vacant: Qualified Motor Mechanic

Our client is a successful and trusted family owned business delivering high quality, reliable workmanship in the mechanical service industry located on the Redcliffe Peninsula.

Due to steady growth, they are looking for a qualified Motor Vehicle Mechanic to join their team.

You will perform the following duties:

·        Diagnose and repair all mechanical and electrical issues.

·        Repairs and servicing working on all vehicles.

·        Listen to engines, fit and operate special test equipment and test-drive vehicles.

·        Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions, differentials or steering gear; dismantling them and checking parts, referring to manuals as necessary.

·        Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaced parts or assemblies, using various instruments to make sure they are working properly and putting them back into the vehicle.

·        Tune engines using special electronic equipment and make fine adjustments (to carburettors, for example) for smoother running.

·        Carry out minor body repairs and minor trim repairs.

·        Diagnose, repair and replace engine management and fuel injection components.

·        Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, instrumentation, ignition and electronic fuel injection.

·        Inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or list the work required before a certificate can be issued.

 

To be considered for this role you must have;

 

·        Trade qualified Auto Mechanic.

·        Car licence required with good driving history.

·        Sound mechanical aptitude and experience.

·        High quality service and professional approach to work.

·        A very strong work ethic & passion about trade.

·        Solid engine reconditioning experience.

·        Personal commitment to safety.

·        A solid work history.


An excellent wage package commensurate with experience will be negotiated with the right candidate. This is a rare opportunity to join a respected company in this industry and location. Hours are Monday to Thursday 8am – 4.00pm, Friday 8am – 4.30pm with overtime available.
